Reapply?

Can you reapply for Medicaid? Our paper said we were denied because we have too many resources. Is owning our home bad if we owe on it? Any and all advice welcome. Also, do they just put one reason or would they put all of them?

Im in oklahoma..you were probably denied because of the boat!! Find someone to sell it to for a dollar and reapply! Then after pregnancy buy it back for a dollar.

Im in Texas and they dont consider car payments as bills, and your electric/water bills are done at a certain percentage. They view car payments as a luxury not a bill. Its dumb. But I would just reapply.

Yea I'm in AR also and with my first I was denied cause we had a 96 and a 99. Only one income and still got denied. AR is horable about denying people even for prenancy medicaid.

That's all I applied for. AR I guess is diff cuz they deny alot here. When I had my son we had two vehicles, 01&04, and was approved.

In California you can apply and not claim any income or anything, you just have to apply for straight pregnancy Medicaid. I own my home and have two vehicles, 2001 and 2005 and I got approved. I believe no one can be denied no matter how much you make if you apply for only pregnancy related services.

If u have more then one car that is newer then 99 model u will get denied! Also having the boat due to the fact they think u can sell atleast the boat and get the money to pay the hospital bill! In 03 I got denied due to my now ex husband had a 96 chevy. Even though that was our only vehical. It s**** but that's how it is.

Why can't they dumb it down?? I thought it was from owning our vehicles and a boat that was given to us for $1.00. And/or our home.

It's not owning a home w money owed. To many resources means to much income.

yes you can reapply. it took my friend 5 times to get accepted.
