Castor Oil

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm not exactly fully considering using this. I just am curious to read some experiences on this.!

Castor oil is considered one of the most dangerous medicines to take while pregnant, it can cause baby to have its first BM in the womb, which can mean a NICU stay. My sister did castor oil and shot her son into the birth canal and the cord wrapped around his neck 3 times, she had an emergency c-section. Estimates on weights can be very off..my son was supposed to be 7 1/2 lbs, he was almost 9, my SIL's was supposed to be almost 9 and she was a little over 6.

I would definitely ask your doctor what the risks are. I was 43 weeks and 2 days when I finally gave birth long time coming but I still was able to have my child naturally

Me too my question to my Dr what is the benefit and consequences of me waiting to 42 wks She was 7lbs 9oz last Tuesday I do not want her to go in distress than I'll need a c-section

I used castrol oil with my son and all it did to me was make me throw up and be on the toilet all night no fun baby will come when they are ready just give them time. Taking castrol oil puts stress on both you and baby which is no good for either

I know i really want him out so i can be home for thanksgiving. i'm only 40+2.

I am overdue as well 40w6d I have a Dr appt tomorrow scheduled for another bpp and nst he's going to have to give me a induction date. I didn't even know Thanksgiving is next Thursday smh

How much did your sister use? A lot or a little

Yes i am over due and he's estimated to be 8lbs and 10oz already :o

My sister used it last year to induce labor with my neice...it did work but she ended up having to have an emergency c section due to meconium aspiration.

Motherhayden are you overdue as well smh

Everyone that I've talked to said it does induce labor, but it makes it 1000x worse because it gives the effects of a really bad stomach flu.
