Repeat cesarean

I am 30w1d and at 39 weeks I will need to have a repeat section. Im getting kind of scared. My son almost 4 and recovery with him was AWEFUL! How am I supposed to care for him AND a newborn while I'm crippled and can't walk or bend over or anything?

Hi hun I had my lil girl on Saturday by emergency c-section and I've recovered really well the best thing I ever did was get up and out of bed as soon as possible but I had beaded stitches which could have been the reason for my quick recovery. Take all the help you can get from friends and family. I hope you find recovery easier this time.

i have had 2 c-sections, same situation, I had a 3 year old at home and a newborn.. but i recovered really well. My best advice is to make sure you don't sit too long. you need to get up and move around as much as possible but while not overdoing it. that really helps you bounce back. I had my husband help the first week and then after that I was fine on my own! good luck hun! :)

Bfranz is correct you need someone to help you, and do not just sit around I had severe gas trapped in my shoulders after my 2nd one so I know with this being my 3rd I will be moving as soon as I'm allowed. Good luck

You need someone who can stay with you for a week or so and not leave so they can help you. WALKING IS THE BEST THING after any surgery. I have had a c section and plan on having another one with this baby. I was not allowed to lay still for more then 3 hours while in the hospital, so i didnt get stiff and the gas would absorb. you have to move around or you will hurt extremely bad. You will do fine, just make sure you have someone to help you out. good luck!
