I doubt it they ll provide separate room to me.. Only if i m induced or scheduled c section.. Otherwise thy are always bzy n no rooms are open... N thy just open labour room where there are other ladies giving birth as well.. But i agree with other ladies every country n hospital are different... Try not to over load urself if ur hospital is generous.... Ours is not. Its funny i only gt one my bag n one small bby bag... My sister in lw had 3 bags ready... Lol God know what she had in there.

The only things im bringing are clean pants, undies, & shirt, dvds (since hospital has dvd player & nothing good ever on cable), phone charger, hair ties. Pjs for my 4 yr old since im sure the first night she wont leave me, tooth brushes and toothpaste. & car seat & outfit for baby to go home in... Our hospital provides everything needed while in hospital including diapers, wipes, boppy pillow, gown for mom & baby, and recieving blankets. My hospital also has a pull down queen bed & a pull out couch in the room even though u must stay in the labor bed for 12 hrs i believe. If ur having issues, ask ur hospital what they provide so that u dont have to pack ur entire trunk (lol)

Oh yes I forgot, bring underwear that you care absolutely nothing about because you will bleed on them!

I haven't even started packing my bags yet and I am 34+2.  I probably wont pack until about 36 weeks.  But this is what I have plans to pack.

For Me:
-A pair of black pajama bottoms or sweat pants.  (You don't want light colors because you bleed a lot after having baby.)
-House Shoes or Socks.  (Hospital floors get cold.)
-Hair ties.  (You will sweat and your hair will get in the way.)
-Chap stick.  (Breathing and pushing in labor will dry your lips out.)
-T-shirt.  (To sleep in.)
-Your favorite hard candy. (It's good to suck on while in labor.)
-Going home outfit.  (remember no light color pants, and make sure it's comfortable, you will still be about the size you were at 6 months pregnant.)
-Your favorite pillow.  (To assure comfort after giving birth.)
-Nipple cream.  (If you plan on breastfeeding, because you'r nipples can and will chap.)

For Baby:
-A heavier blanket. (Make that 2 if you don't have a wind protector on your car seat.)
-Newborn hand mitts.  (To cover baby's hands and keep them from scratching their face.)
-Hat.  (To cover soft spots and keep head warm.)
-Socks.  (To keep feet warm of course.)
-Going home outfit.  (Try to get a one pieces suit, because pants can irritate belly button, and baby's hate complicated outfits where theres a lot of work to be done just to get them in it.. so keep it simple!  Oh and bring both Newborn and 0-3 months just in case.)
-Car seat.  (Of course!)

Remember if you boyfriend/husband will be staying there with you, bring him sleeping pants and t-shirt as well as socks/house shoes, a pillow, and going home cloths.

lol the list i got from NHS was very long.. they just provide delivery shirt but that gets dirty and i ll have to change into something more comfy..

they did ask for nursing bras and breast pads, dry fruit or some thing to keep your energy up.. drinks, charger, change for car park, if mobile are not allowed change for calling cards or coins etc...

always remember to take a hairband or clippers because you dont want hair to come on your face..

and also underwears..

Nhs also only give formula if i m not going to breast feed.. lol and they can keep longer if women are not in well condition... :(..  i m ftm as well.. i just know because of my sister in laws

Not packing much hospital will provide some stuff and mine only keeps you for 36 hours. Pjs with button top, nursing bra, sports bra and tank for water birth, Ipod and speaker, phone charger, bathroom things, comfy pants and top for coming home, slippers and socks. I'm also bringing body pillow. For baby one outfit, snowsuit, blanket, and carseat.
