So, on Friday, I informed 1 of the men who I think is the father of my baby of my pregnancy. He didn't quite have the reaction I was hoping for or expecting, but I don't care about that anymore. What made me really mad at him, is the fact that he still proceeded to smoke the marijuana he had after I told him what's going on. Then, had the nerve to tell me that it's okay. Especially, secondhand smoke. Like that's any better. What?! He continued to keep smoking it the whole time I stayed there. That action & statement alone, gives me half a mind not to even include him in anything. He seemed to have a nonchalant attitude about it anyway. I'd think a 30 year old man would be smarter than to make a comment like that.

Whether you agree with smoking pot during pregnancy or not, Miss Courtney, this man reacts to the news that he may be a father by getting high.  That's just a sad statement.  I agree that you are right to be concerned.

U r not being over protective. Marijuana may not be bad itself but the smoke u r inhaling is. I mean really who says that any type of smoke u inhale is good for u?? It's not.

I've already established that I'm not going to his house anymore, so it won't happen again. I just don't want anything that's not supposed to be there, there. Meaning, my baby's system. I'm a FTM @ 25 wks today so I guess I'm just being overprotective.

There are some ob practices that do encourage a hit of marijuana from time to time for pregnant women to help with morning sickness and dizziness. It is by no neans an unpopular practice especially within native American tribes and widely used in other countries for the same purpose as well. With that being said, if you personally do not find it acceptable then be firm and let him know it will not be tolerated, and also exactly what consequences his actions will entail if he continues. Hopefully it works out for you and good luck momma :)
