Scare :(

I just left my mother in laws house and she kept telling me how my swollen feet at 17 weeks isn't normal and she seemed very concerned she kept telling me it's not normal and that my face looks swollen too but honestly I don't see my face swollen I know I've gained 10 lbs since the last time I saw her so maybe she thinks my face just got swollen has anyone else experienced it

I had preeclampsia. Preeclampsia won't start until after 20 weeks according to my doctor..and you would most likely have a headache along with spotty vision...its what i had. But honestly im only 3 months with my 2nd and i work all day and already have swollen feet.. Even when im not working all day i still have swollen feet sometimes. My doctor isn't concerned about it. And wont be concerned until im at least 5 months

Oh no, I hope I didn't make it worse! I was just trying to say that if youre not feeling well and are worried about it to get it checked out, if for nothing more than piece of mind! I'm sure youre fine, your body's going through crazy changes in a short amount of time and when people don't see you for awhile its more noticeable than you, who sees yourself every day you know? I only mentioned the preeclampsia because swelling CAN be a symptom but that's not the ONLY symptom. I'm sorry):

It could be the extra weight weighing down on your legs and ankles, all my weight has gone to my hips and legs. Sometimes I feel like my legs are swollen cause how big my cavs have got then I realize my pants don't fit any more lol.

Because of my moms history with it I made my doctor give me a test for preeclampsia he said he wasn't worried about it but I insisted anyway! And I haven't heard anything I see him on the 17th so I'm sure everything is okay. I just get random high blood pressure or my heart races random times through out the day.

My mom had preeclampsia with all four of her pregnancies we all came out fine and all were natural births. Just call and ask your doctor don't stress! If you do have preeclampsia you're doctor will let you know! Try n not to read crazy things I know it's hard but just talk to your doctor!

I had swollen parts at 17 weeks. Doc checked me and everything is fine. I am almost 34weeks and I am more swollen then ever. Doc checks me and no signs to be stressed about.  It will be ok

It is unusual to be so swollen so early, if that's what it was. But if you say you gained 10lbs since seeing her it might just be the added weight. Honestly if you dont notice it and you feel fine otherwise she was probably just seeing that. Ask your husband if he thinks you look swollen, as he's a more accurate judge and if YOU think youre swelling then call your Dr. It can be a sign of preeclampsia, but I wouldn't stress too much. Just keep an eye out and pay attention
