When do you Realistically know when your pregnant?

I'm keen to know when people start realising they may be pregnant before they do a test? I am currently on my last fertile day (so I would have ovulated by now right??) and I've been feeling a few cramps. I'm guessing they're ovulation cramps right? We are hoping this month will be the month!! :-/

HAH symptoms. had them a day or two before due AF for TEN months. Usually they mean nothing unless its completely obvious like bbs tingling, and a face covered in zits in the midst of a cycle. GOOD luck!

Heres a list of what went on when I was pregnant with my daughter....

LMP - 9/27/08
Conception - 10/11/08
Not quite feeling right - 10/18/08 (neg preg test)
Nauseous to the smell of bubble gum - 10/19/08
Implantation bleeding - 10/22/08
Positive Preg test - 10/24/2008

nothing is one hundred percent until you read pregnant on your digital pregnancy test or doctor congratulate you. symptoms just get your hopes up.

Also I have had cramps both yesterday evening and this evening. Last night was more twinges on the right side and now it's more uncomfortable across the middle. Is this still ovulation cramps seeing as I am just finishing my fertile period today or could it be pregnancy? Im assuming I have ovulated yesterday or the day before because Im finishing my fertile period today?? (also my partner and I only had sex day one and day five of my fertile period :-/ ) any help would be great... Wish me luck!!

Lol... forgot how to spell^ i got a pregnancy brain now.....

Anyways two wks before my AF was due, i broke out on my face and my bbs were tender, right then and there i knew something was up... sure enough three days before my AF i tested at 2pm... and got a "pregnant" on my digital... So yep thats how i knew! gl

I never got a positive until the morning after AF was due.  (all 3 times)

I did notice over a week before lots of cm & af like cramps.  There was a lot of wetness "down there"  I kept running to the bathroom to see if it was Af.  Nope, I was preggo.

Thanks so much, all your comments are really helpful! I think because I have been waiting and trying for a while that I just get my hopes up too quickly. The slightest symptom and I get excited! This time I think I should wait till a missed period. Did you feel anything before a missed period anyone?? :-/ x

I felt no symtoms till just before due on. Got bad cramps then got my + test 4 days late.. Best not to test till later saves dissapointment.

a FEW women have gotten positive test results as early as 9dpo however more typically it's 12-14 or later.  If you know for a fact that you have ALREADY ovulated then the cramping could be associated wtih implantation, but if you are unsure as to whether or not you have ovulated then it could be ovulation pain OR implantation but there's really no way to tell the difference.

It seems like most people can get a + pregnancy test 2-3 days before their missed period. Some women can get it sooner, while others must wait until they actually missed a period. If you think you have just ovulated or left the fertile phase, you will probably have to wait 12-14 days before peeing on a stick. I did not get my + test until 13 days AFTER I ovulated. Good luck!
