Should I cut back my workout routine while ttc?

Does anyone know if high calorie workouts are bad while ttc? I'm wondering if I should cut back while ttc.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Thanks, so far there haven't been any changes to my period and I did get a little ovulation pain on the right day this month. I mostly worry about burning so many calories when ttc and wondering if it will hurt my chances of having a successful implant. Also, having had a mc before I know I will cut back the last week before my period is due.

I agree with the above.  If you're just working out on the elliptical or running on the treadmill and doing weight training, that's fine.  I've known women who are black belts in karate getting pregnant.  It shouldn't be an issue as long as it's not affecting your period.

I would guess it would depend on how much you work out. I know that athletes a lot of time stop getting their menstrual period, so I would talk to your doctor and let him know how much you are working out, and what you eat to help determine whether your getting too much excersize.

If your workouts are very intense, it probably wouldn't hurt to cut them down a little, particularly in the couple of weeks between ovulation and your next period. Personally, I was doing stuff like biking or stationary bike, instead of running or aerobics during that time. I was also using an ovulation prediction kit, so I knew when I had ovulated.

I've also had a miscarriage before, so with this pregnancy, once I got a BFP I stopped exercising until pretty much the second trimester.
Good luck!

Personally, I wouldn't cut it out. I would just cut it down. I used to exercise ALOT with my Wii Fit but I've read that lots of working out can actually interfere with ovulation. So I didn't want to take the chance that I wouldn't ovulate just because of working out.

So I work out very, very, very moderately before ovulation. Then don't do anything after ovulation, but this is because I recently had a miscarriage and don't want the exercising to cause a miscarriage again if I should get preg.
