No ohhhh man so sorry to hear that please keep me updated !!!! Try to no stress
Thank you ladies. I just left work and I'm going to the ER. The pain worsened and it started getting hard to breathe
Ok so talk to your manager and tell him to give you less hours you got nothing to lose you need to rest. The pain will go away the pain is from bring on your feet not rest nd stress worrying. Do what you feel is best but lifting is very bad for you as well.
I never have time for breaks... I got one today between shifts for 45 minutes but usually I don't even get ten minutes to shove food down my throat. Its just none stop running and walking and lifting
My boyfriend and both of our families are very supportive and he's worried about me and don't like me working so much. He has been picking up hours and I feel bad not contributing as much as he does but its getting really hard. It wouldn't be so bad if I could relax and sleep but I'm always in too much pain to even relax.
I wish you the best of luck. You need to taks care of yourself our body is doing alot of work on the inside we need breaks and rests. Do you have breaks at work so u can sit down for alil maybe being on your feet isnt good at all
That *****. You need to worry about yourself you can always find a job first comes you nd the baby. Do you have help from your bf or husband family. I would have a nice talk with the manager and say my doctor said I cant do double shifts anymore. They need to understand that they cant fire you cause of that.
I work banquets, weddings, and stuff like that and I'm also a personal chef and cater parties. Its long hours because I have to set up everything, work the event, clean and tear it down, and then set up for the next one. I'm afraid of being fired because right before I left my manager was talking about firing people who called off tonight. He also told someone that is also pregnant that he can't guarentee her job when she goes on leave..
What do you do if you dont mind me saying? Such long hours
Work tonight nd call out sick tomorrow.
Yesss call out for tomorrow and you shoukdnt be working double its just gets harder from here on out. You cant over do yourself you need to relax nd rest. Talk to your doctor asap
Well I just got off and I have to be back to work in 45 minutes. I layed on the couch and my right side just doesn't feel right! I'm not sure how to describe it. It started about an hour ago and laying down doesn't relieve the pain. Should I call off tomorrow? I have to go back tonight and work til 1am and be back in the morning to work 10-5 but I'd really like to try and rest. Next week will be worse because I work a double everyday. What should I do?
I will try and take it easy.. I don't want to push myself too hard and cause harm to my baby. I'm going to call my doctor now before I go in.. thanks ladies!!
You need to slow down with work I promise you its not good you need rest. Go talk to your doctor about this asap
Gees. And your not even in 3rd trimester yet. If possible I would def try to stay off your feet as much. Turn those doubles into singles and get you some rest!! Lol. You def need to take it easy and slow down a bit. And if it comes down to it before bed I would take a doctor recommended pregnancy safe pill to relieve the pain so you can sleep.
I am 22+2 weeks... pillows make it worse. I have two body pillows and a ton of regular ones and nothing helps. I work a double today and doubles everyday next week, which I'm not complaining about but... I never get a break! I'm on my feet all day to the point that when I'm off and ready for bed I'm too restless and my body hurts. Then in the morning when I get ready to go back to work I cry because my body is throbbing and sore. I've tried pillows and I've even bought belly bands to support my back and new walking shoes! Its just getting worse
How far are you? Def let your doctor now asap! Rest is key though, I get pain in my back from time to time when I dont get enough rest & sleep.
I would ask your manager to put you on less hours and try not to strain yourself. I am 38+5 and laying on my sides hurt too, but use pillows to elevate yourself and lay on your back. Or take a luke warm bath with epsom salt.
Just wondering if this is caused by working so much because I'd rather slow down then get put on bed rest by my doctor.. she doesn't even know I work.
