My mom is a single mother of 3. I think what helps a lot is when you have support from friends and family. And have faith in your maternal abilities. It will be hard work but it will be worth it and I'm sure you will be a great mother. Just keep your head up and don't give up
Thank you so much for your comment that truly ment a lot to me and makes me feel so much better to know I will get through my days.
My mom is a single mom of four. I am the oldest and pregnant(ftm, I live with my bf). I asked my mom what it was like. I have seen her go through a lot but believe me, that woman would do anything for us. We are her pride and joy.
I can't tell you what it's like to be a single mother of a newborn, but I have a 20 month old and I'm 25 weeks pregnant and my husband left us two weeks ago. So I'm starting to get a taste of what it is like to be a single mother of a toddler. I thought real hard about how I would describe the last two weeks and I settled on two words. Tough and beautiful. It is hard as hell being the only parent 24/7. But there is a certain bittersweet beauty to it, when I'm cleaning at the end of the day and I realize 'hey, I made it another day, look at that, see I CAN do it!' The first couple days were the hardest because I was so emotionally charged and frustrated but we found our own little groove and are settling into it. Just try and have lots of support from family and friends, people willing to come over every couple days to give you some time for yourself, like to take a shower and a drink a hot beverage while it's hot. Support makes a lot of difference. Good luck Mama, I believe in you.
