my best friend took unisom for her sickness with both her children, it was prescribed by her OB and both her boys are fine. With hospitals and ER though I would always make sure to call your ob whenever prescribed something from them, even though they are doctors the are not specialized in vaginas and babies and sometimes things can slip there minds on what's safe or not
If they know you're pregnant and prescribed them to you it's probably fine. Just be careful to limit how much you take and make sure your Dr knows.
@anniebrooke I had went to the hospital and they prescribed it to me. They said I had to take unisom and nothing else, so that's what I'm doing.
I think it sounds like these are not prescribed by your doctor. Would you at least call the doctor and ask if it is OK to take them? I would definitely be worried about harming the baby.
There are a lot of over the counter things that you wouldn't think can harm you're baby but can. Moving is not an indicator of the overall health of your baby. If your Dr didn't prescribe it to you then you need to speak with them about it before you take it or you could be harming your baby. It depends the kind of sleeping pill. On the other hand if your Dr. prescribed it or told you it was ok then just don't overdue it.
If your ob prescribed it it's probably not harmful but call your pharmacist they will tell you what class it is and if it's safe good luck
