Stomach Flu while pregnant

Hi girls I'm currently 10 1/2 wks preggo and I had the stomach bug yesterday. I vomited twice. Mostly dry heaves since I was too nauseated to eat anything and a little bit of diarrhea but not bad. I only managed to eat a bowl of cheerios and about 2/3 of a can of gingerale yesterday. I read that the stomach bug will not hurt my baby but what about the dry heaving and a low grade temp. My temp was about 100.4F or 38C for probably about 12-14hrs. I didn't get out of bed all day except to go to the bathroom b/c I was soo dizzy, achy and chilled. Just worried that the temp or sickness could have hurt my little one. My baby bump was definitly smaller when I woke up this morning. Could this just be from the dehydration and not eating? It's starting to fill out again but I'm just worried. Anyone else have the stomach flu while preggo?

Phew good to know. And yeah I've notice that my bump does seem to be smaller in the morning than in the evening. I notice I get more bloated in the evening thou too so that probably has a lot to do with it.

i know how you feel!!! i don't have the stomache flu but i do have the flu. i spent my night last night at the hospital. temp steady around 101-102, ivs, blood draws....all that fun stuff for them to say...it's the flu. sleep and drink plenty of fluids. lol. and i also worry about EVERY little thing. i'm so paranoid...these are my first also. but the docs at the er i went to (which is the # 1 baby hospital in pittsburgh) said that the flu, cold or anything like that just affects mommy not baby. it'll just make you feel crappier for a bit.

Just drink plenty of fluids. Dry heaving won't do anything to baby. And you may notice your baby bump is pretty small at the beginning of the day and larger at the end, no matter how far along you are.

Thanks for the reasurrance. It's my first so I seem to worry about every little thing. I know I'm driving DH nuts but I want to make sure I do everything right to give the  baby the best chance possible.

i am 22wks pregnant and i have had a tummy bug that lasted for 4 days i am also still having a few dizzy spells i dont think its anything to worry about i think i am just a bit dehydrated too, my tummy went flatter but dont worry your baby will be stronger than you think
