Stretch marks.... Really?

I'm sorry if this offends anyone. But, I've been seeing a ton of posts about women complaining about stretch marks, & does lotions help, & how upset they are they found a few. I was 98lbs when I got pregnant with my first an sky rocketed to 217 yes you read that right. I am COVERED in them, I have a "belt" around my stomach that stops slightly past my sides and just around my belly button, I also have them on my boobs, butt, thighs & even calves. They re-stretched with my second and now with this pregnancy also. They fade over time, guess what I could careless about mine. I brought 2 soon to be 3 lives into this world, those are my tiger stripes. They are not ugly or shameful. You can use all the lotions you want, if your going to get them you will, its also genetic. Don't be so hard on yourself ladies, your not going to have time to worry about them once baby is born anyways. Relax, its part of pregnancy.

No no no I'm not trying to be mean at all!! I am trying to say that they are no matter what beautiful you may not believe it now but you will see eventually they are worth every single one. By all means use whatever lotions / methods you like. It just didn't do anything for me, and if you have them and don't like them don't worry they do over time fade and get lighter. No they never completely go away but by then you won't even remember you have them.

How about we calm down! She isn't saying anything bad...to me she is saying ahe is proud of them and are very much worth it! She isn't telling you DONT use lotion she its letting you know she is covered in them and the lotion didn't work. It seems to me your just trying to get these girls to feel better about themselves and not be all down about a few stretch marks. We are all so lucky to be able to carry and have our own children so I will take whatever pregnancy gives me! This was a good post and very uplifting!

I think they are kind of cute myself. Like the baby's first artwork in a way. The lotions do help with the itching, and.if you get someone else to lotion you, its sooo relaxing!

LOL well said delyayle :) I too skyrocketed from 105 to 172 with my first and from 155 to 219 (at my last weigh in) . Needless to say I have some work to do when baby gets here and although I was blessed to not have as many as I thought I do have some. Not ashamed, nor embarrassed, those are my battle scars and everyone should know that you can try all you want to minimize appearance but nothing will keep you from getting them except genetics :)

Lol same here. I had them before I got pregnant so they obviously don't bother me and even if I didn't it just reminds me that I have a life growing Inside me so I could careless about them.
