Lol sorry, I read wrong... but my Dr is trying to get me to gain weight because I have been at the same weight since my first appointment I'm going to try the shea butter, I've heard it is better.
Gradual gain lol. I think she meant trying to gain weight gradually instead of quickly. Gaining more slowly will help preserve your skins elasticity vs gaining quickly and stretching it too fast.
Gradual weight gain: no more than about a pound a week. Sometimes you'll have a bit more, sometimes a bit less, but you want to average about a pound a week.
Well do what I suggested and maybe they won't get much worse. My poor sister gets them ten times as bad as me and hers literally take years to fade. Some women are just luckier than others.
I didn't get any with my first so keeping fingers crossed I won't get any with this pregnancy, I'll be 15weeks tomorrow and so far none although I'm already sooo much bigger than I was with my first. My best friend used cocoa butter and vitamin e oil and she still ended up with them.
dumb question I know but what's a gradual grain? Lol @doulamommy
No one in my family has them :( I guess I'm jst the odd one out...
There isn't much you can do. Keeping your skin well hydrated with cocoa or Shea butter can help, as can drinking lots of water and a gradual gain. But overall, almost every woman gets them. The good news is that they do fade almost to invisible over the years.
