Anyone treated horrible at anatomy scan ?

What was suppose to be joyous, exciting experience was completely awful the dr was so rude and cold. And when I asked since their policy is one person in the room and I asked if my sister could take a turn in the room with me the dr stopped my scan turned on the lights and told me how this is not something fun at the mall that you bring your family to its a serious scan and was completely cold and unfriendly.  I know it's a serious scan but it's also a chance to see my baby and no one can tell me it's not fun and exciting to see my baby. They didn't even let me see my baby's profile and printed no pictures for me. I'm so sad everyone I know had great pictures and friendly drs at their anatomy scan.

My gender ultrasound wasnt perfect. The lady was lazy and didnt even try to get decent pictures so like I got with my other two kids. However she wasnt hateful to me like that and I did get pictures in general. Im so sorry you had to deal with that.

I AGREE FILE A COMPLAINT. I would've cussed his behind clean out!!!!!!!! I'm sorry you had to experience that.

I had a very rude doctor also she refused to tell me the gender of my baby she said it wasn't necessary for me to know. I walked out of there so quick and went straight to complain i found it so unbelievable that I'm going to pay for these ultrasounds and she found it right to hide from me the gender of my baby! I swear if I would have stayed in that room with her I would have snapped. They made her apologize and were willing to do me a free scan but they had already put me in a bad mood I left and never went back I ended up going to get a 3/4D ultrasound and payed $40 to find out the gender it was absolutely beautiful seeing my baby and being able to take pictures the dr printed out like 20 pics for me and even got a video to take home. I could have taken in as many people as I wanted and the dr was so nice and fun to be around I loved it!

What a ****** *****.. I woulve got up and ask for another person to do it.. When i had mine the tech had an attitude at first she also said just my husband could go with me and i ignored her because i wasnt going to let my mom be outside for the whole 40 minutes.. Since we got in the room she said no cellphones so we turned them off then her phone rang like two times and she answered both calls while she was on the phone she kept on pressing so hard on my stomach i moved her hand away got up and told her are you going to do my ultrasound or be on the phone tell me now so that i can just come back when there is someone else she hung up the phone immediately and totally changed her attitude you shoulve said something most techs are rude and they are even worst if you let them.

I'm also very greatfull for nobody having nasty comments about how it could've been worse. I posted this on another pregnancy app and everyone's being so hurtful. Thank you everyone

There's no reason that man should have been rude to you. Never go there again.
The lady that did mine for my first was friendly and I had my husband, MIL, and Mom all in the tiny room with me.  
This is a service you're paying for. They owe you good service.

You guys should read some of the responses I got on another app everyone calling me horrible and insensitive because I don't have it as bad as other people's anatomy scan. I want to cry all over again.

I am sooo sorry hun! Thats totally not okay!! You dont deserve that and for him to say "this isnt like a fun trip to the mall" or w.e , yeah hes RIGHT its not anything damn close! you are seeing you child for the first time, and your gonna cherish and remember that moment forever and he took that away from you! You should definitely file a complaint and go to someone else, you and your baby deserve better!

Everyone on the other app is saying I'm insensitive because I didn't get bad news and I'm still complaining all I wanted was confirmation that the dr was a jerk and everyone's being so mean. Thank you again everyone on here for your support.

Nope. No need for anyone to treat you like that. It is a serious scan but pregnant women look forward to it. The first half of my pregnancy went so slow cuz I was really excited about it.  If my doctor acted like that I don't know how I'd respond. You definitely should not have been treated like that and I'm sorry you were treated poorly on the other app too.

Was it the doctor that did your ultrasound or was it an ultrasound tech that did it? If it was the doctor I would find another doc asap bc that's just ridiculous.

It wasn't my dr who did it but he sent me to another dr to do it. My dr apologized for the others rudeness. I've seriously had enough of foul responses on the bump anyone know how to deactivate?!

For my first ultrasound i had this jamican lady seemed very nice at first i was so excited i was getting to see if i had a baby in my tummy because my tests were coming up negative but bloodwork said i was pregnant as soon as i walked in she threw a robe at me and said " okay this is how this goes but the robe on remove your clothes from the waist downwe are either going to see a baby, a dead baby or no baby at all dont cry and dont talk" she was soo rude!

Mine was horrible too!! The lady didn't even talk when I asked questions like what's that for INSTANCE  she will answer like I'm dumb and since I'm on the bigger side she kept saying you need to hold your stomach up!! I can't do it if your not going to help. And when I asked what I was having she was like Idk ask your dct. Then she just walked out . Finally came back in after just leaving me on the table, I had to pee so bad, and was like you can leave! I was just like wtf.
