Sunblock on a Newborn ?

Ok so my mother was telling me I should put sunblock in the diaper bag just in case I'll need it. But am I gonna need it ?

Ok thanks ladies ! I will absolutely carry sunblock with me 24/7 :) Any suggestions on which one to buy ?

^^^ yes! They can get EXTREAMALLY ill with sun burns!! My cousin took her daughter to her sons baseball game when she was 3 months, they were in the shade under trees, and it was cloudy so she didnt think to put any on her neither did my aunt or grandma who were sitting with her and the baby got a small sun burn and sun poisioning they took her to the hospital and the hospital called CPS on her for abuse, which freaked her out so bad. Luckily it was a first time amd only time thing and they didnt take her away

Use a lotion not a spray. The spray can be inhaled and cause lots of problems for a new born. Plus you don't want a baby with a sunburn. It's annoying to us and much worse for them because they can't really express the discomfort aside from just crying

The must Sun exposure we get is the first 20 yrs of ur life. Protect your babies skin use it if he is going to be exposed

I read they aren't supposed to wear it until 3months bc if how fragile their skin is, but I dont know how credible that is

You should use it every time you take ur baby outside.

Where I am in Australia we use it all the time and you can get a newborn one.
