With my first it fell out & that's how my hairdresser knew I was pregnant again. But! I have noticed tiny hairs so hopefully this new growth will stay lol. After giving birth to my first my hair fell out again Feb 2011..but around Oct it got thick & its never been that thick. So Idk. Sit & wait!

My hair has been steadily falling out in large amounts since about 15w. I assumed it was from my stress & anxiety but non of the doctors I've seen seem too concerned about it. I have hand fulls come out in the shower & everytime I brush my hair, I have to clean out the brush. It's frustrating to say the least.

My hair grows so awesome while pregnant. After delivery it falls out. And it definitely gets thinner. I noticed a massive difference in the size of my pony tail a month after birth. Just running my fingers thru my hair in the shower would make a good 10-15 pieces of hair fall out. It freaked me out. But once it "sheds" it grows back in just as thick. Lol

I haven't lost any at all. Everybody tells me my hair is going to fall out after the birth, but I've always had a thick, headful of hair. Does your hair actually get thinner, or does it just go back to normal?

I'm the opposite. I'm not losing hair at all. I'm guessing once this baby is born I will lose more.

It will all go away as soon as you give birth.  Your body is producing hormones which stimulates new hairgrowth.  Funny how all you notice is it falling out.  I had the same issue with my first two.  The only way i knew i wasnt just losing the hair was to look above my forehead at the hairline and you could see little tiny new hairs.

I wash my hair everyday as I love the smell of my products. Im unsure how to stop it. I think it has something to do with the baby taking everything our body needs to keep healthy. I have long hair,  finding it very annoying. I don't straighten or blow dry. I'm a maori girl and not allowed to even get a trim. Grrrrrr

Yes....my stylist was the first to guess what was going on. At that point I took two negative tests so I told her no I wasn't pregnant & went ahead & got a perm (it totally looked amazing for a day & def not there anymore) Two weeks later I'm due Dec 14.  Have either of you found a way to prevent this? It's driving me crazy!
