I had a similar problem early in my pregnancy. I went for a professional cleaning and switched to a sensitive tooth paste and my gums are so much better now. I'm currently using Colgate Sensitive, but my dentist said Sensedyne is good too. I hippie you feel better soon; I know how annoying that pain is.
It could be pregnancy related, yes. If it is just one spot on your gums it could be an infected tooth. Sometimes when a tooth gets infected it will get swollen and get a bump above or below ( depending which tooth). If it drains, or if a tooth becomes hyper sensitive or you have a constant dull ache call your dentist right away. You may want to contact one anyway.
Yea its totally normal. I got it really bad with my daughter. Just make sure you brush at least two times a day and floss once a day. Also use mouth wash.
Bump. Anyone else have this problem??
