thanks..i actually had an ultrasound today and they didn't see a pregnancy which is good i guess..they did say my uterine lining is really thinking though which has me worried now about cancer..it never ends!
I had an ectopic back in May/June. I did NOT show up on a hpt and also failed a blood test too. Around 6 weeks of pregnancy I started to have severe cramping and some spotting. Finally I went to the ER due to "bad menstral cramps" and I didn't care what people thought of me, the pain was so bad. Turns out I was preggo and it was ectopic (it was discovered a few days later that it was ectopic). I've had cysts before and this pain was way worse. In my experience, the pain was more than ANYTHING I have ever experienced. When I first started getting the pain I was in a nasty public bathroom, grabbing the toilet seat, leaning on the wall, and eventually laying on the nasty floor - and I didn't care because the pain was so bad. I still waited 4 days before going to get help.
Personally, I think your period is trying to regulate. My sister went through the same thing after she gave birth to twins. It took 2-3 months to get a real full period. Good luck hun! If the pain gets real, REAL bad then start being concerned.
Update..haven't had spotting now in almost a week but still cramping and tender in the uterus area.
Does anyone else have any experience with eptopics they can add?
Thanks for the reply also. I really hope it's just my period regulating itself but it just seems like a long time ( had the baby 3 months ago) and to be spotting and cramping for a month with no real period is freaking me out. When you had an etopic did you feel alot of pain? Sorry to hear you went through that! I'm just scared...i have two little ones and we were done having children. If everything turns out ok this time i'm definately finding an alternitive to the withdrawl method. They say though that there is no sperm in the pre-fluid so i'm really hoping that's true. Usually if it's not successful its because the guy had sex too many times in a row without urinating to kill the left over sperm or else he doesn't pull out in time. Neither of those were the case for us. Hopefully i'll get a period soon although i'm afraid once i do it'll be HORRIBLE and HEAVY but hey, after this scare i'll take it! I'm also feeling some pregnancy symptoms which is got me worried in the first place...periods of real tiredness and nausea but i think my mind might be playing tricks on me a little and that is what that is. Although not having a regulated period may do that also.
Thanks for the reply..i was really worried because a friend who had an etopic pregnancy didn't get a positive pregnancy test but i think she may have tested too early. Glad to know most times you would get one. I'm going to take another test tomorrow just to make sure. I'm just really worried because of all this spotting. Doctor doesn't seem worried but i've never heard of anyone spotting and cramping for over a month :(
Hi it does sound like your period regulating itself.as for how far eptopic go.it depends.for me few years ago,I was almost 6 weeks, but my body started Miscarrying.so didnt need any injection, can tell you the further along it goes.the more pain you would experience.and this is unbelievable pain, often felt low down, and can also be felt in the tip of shoulder.pregnancy would show up positive,in your case all have been negative, except 1 clearblue but you can rule that out.as was over time frame.we thought pull out method good for us.after many years trying concieve my now little one.after many many years trying,Oop;s didnt work, now pregnant again.if you are really worried, ask you doctor to do a test.put your mind at rest.dont think its eptopic.
"My question is would i get a postive hpt if the pregnancy was eptopic?" Yes, the majority of ectopic pregnancies are detected using a HPT just like a regular pregnancy.
"how long do they usually grow before a tube will burst?" Typically about 7 weeks is when the ectopic starts to cause problems.
It really doesnt sound like you have an ectopic pregnancy. A HPT should give a positive result about 2 weeks after sex (if you had unprotected sex 4 weeks ago you would be about 6 weeks pregnant). You havent had a positive result (if positive after a few hours the test is invalid). Also, it can take months (sometimes over a year) for your body to regulate after having a baby.
