How long did you wait to test???

Hi everyone - this is my first post in this forum :-)

I'm 31 and have a beautiful 2.5 year old son (who, incidentally, was a happy "surprise").  My husband and I recently decided to try for another.

As crazy as it may sound, ever since my period started again after breastfeeding our son, I could pinpoint the exact time of ovulation:  I get mildly crampy.....and keeping track of when that occurred each cycle, I realized that it was always 14 days prior to my period arriving.  Anyway.....so I knew I was ovulating on April 3/4.  Had intercourse 2 times in that timeframe.  Last Thursday, I noticed that my breasts were really enlarged, I've been cramping again, my back is sore and I feel lightheaded at times.  Plus my appetite has really picked up.

Is it too soon to be feeling this way?  The first time around, seeing as we weren't really trying, I had no idea I was pregnant until 2 weeks after my period was due to arrive.  I've heard that, after you've been through it once, the symptoms can appear sooner - or maybe it's just that you're more in tune to what they are and how it feels to be pg.

As of tomorrow, I'll be at CD 23, 10 DPO and, given the way I've been feeling, I was planning on testing (using a First Response test) tomorrow morning.  I'm praying for a BFP!!!!

How soon did you test??

Well you definitely ovulate 2 weeks before your period- as do most women. That is called your luteal phase and that's very normal and good that you know when you ovulate.

A pregnancy test will be most accurate when your period is due, around 14dpo. But many women do get positive results early. Good luck and let us know the result!!!

hehe... I didn't last a week! lol. I've been testing every day! Still BFN at 18 dpo (at least I think I O'd at CD12).....
However I've been feeling like AF was here all day and it's just been CM. TMI srry. I went to my Dr's office and asked for a Quantative test to see exactly how much HCG is in my blood, and my luck the stupid lab closed 15 min. before I got there!

I checked 3days before my missed period with a cheap pregnancy test and it came out possitive a day before Valentines day. Good luck and lots of baby dust and sticky dust to you.

I don't think that is too early for the ones that detect early, but they are still not very accurate that early.  I got my BFP on 14DPO because that is the day I was expecting AF and I had bought the cheapie Wal-Mart EPT's that only detect the day of your missed period or after.

Lots and lots of baby dust to you!! ;-)
