I slept every night with out panties and in loose cotten pants... that seemed to help me -
It was one of my first symptoms.I took clotrimazole vaginal pessaries and it cleared out in a few days.It can be very uncomfortable.I also avoided wearing panties as well,if i had to i put a pad on the panty for the softness,it helped too.
Hope u get well soon.
I suffered with horrible thrush quite regularly with my last pregnancy despite doing all the right things also. Something with the hormones. The only thing that really worked for me was the suppository. And going without knickers under a skirt whenever I was at home.
I have had it twice during my pregnancy and I do all the same things as you. I actually used Canestan 6 day treatment and would use the cream for the outside every day for a little bit after symptoms were gone just to make sure. They can be pesky and reoccur or even be tough to get rid of simply because of hormones.
What also helped me was just a nice cold cloth before bed and treatment! It's pretty soothing!
Some people require an oral pill in order to get rid of a yeast infection. Usually oral diflucan.
If it is bad the doctor can give you a prescription suppository. You should also try taking acidophilus( I take 2 a day)
