Too Soon?

Hiya, I'm 18 weeks pregnant and I'm not to sure if it's too soon to start buying things for my baby.  This is my first pregnancy and I'm still fairly young (20 to be exact) so when I see things in the sale I'm tempted to buy them. I don't know the gender of my baby yet (I find that out in 2 weeks) but things like prams, rocking chairs etc I'm really tempted to buy.. Just wanted to know when you guys started buying things for your baby because I don't want to jinx anything :-)

I wanted to go shopping as soon as I found out I'm having a boy but keep in mind your gonna get all kinds of stuff if you throw a baby shower, I got a few outfits and started buying diapers and big things like crib, bassinet, rocking chair and changing table but most everything else you will more likely get as gifts

A pram is a pushchair (buggy), lol

I think I'll probably start shopping when I reach 20 weeks because then I'll be half way & also my 2nd scan should confirm that my baby is growing healthy and put my mind at rest. Hopefully I don't miss all the sales lol

Sorry...what's a pram? Lol. But im 20wks and I've got a swing, crib, cradle and clothes for my little girl:)

I started getting things here and there. We got a 2nd hand pram today was 500retail. And we got it 2nd hand at $120. So excited for that. Everything is done except a cot and i want a fancy one. Its $1500. So i think il ask ppl to give us cash for babyshower. :) oh and im only in mango week 19. :)

Thank you.  My mother-in-law has already brought me a pram, car seat & crib whilst my mother and sisters have started buying nappies and neutral coloured clothes etc. I just tell them to keep everything at there house because I don't wanna jinx anything lol.. I can't wait to start shopping though baby clothes are just the cutest lol

I am. 24 weeks today nd a lot of ppl gave me tiff like clothes nd pack nd play nd toys nd everything so now I literally have everything I need besides a dresser/changing table!! I don't think its too early.. just wait on cothes till u find out gender.. it.ll b really son.anyways!! Have fun :)

Lool, in 2weeks time I hopefully would have forgot about my fears and just start shopping. Especially since im not having a baby shower. Thanks a lot guys :)

Hey im also 20 and pregnant with my first baby im 15w i find out sex of baby in less than 2 weeks and i fully plan on starting to buy stuff then. We are having a baby shower in may so ill wait till after that to buy the majority of things we dont get but i think its more than okay to shop for stuff already i would try to keep recepts. Congrats!

I started buying diapers at 13 weeks ill be 18 weeks Saturday exactly and I find out the sex next Friday i would say anything you kno you want but probably wouldn't get at ur baby shower start buying! I got a membership at Costco strictly for diapers! This is my1st also but they say u go through 300 diapers in a month! So that's where I started. But I don't wanna buy a lot of other stuff in hopes people will buy for me for my baby shower! Lol

Thanks guys. Quite a few people are saying that I shouldn't start yet but I'm too excited too wait lol. Plus this is all a first for me. I'm moving houses soon as well.

Im only 13 weeks along and if the fact that im moving in may wasnt there i would of already bought a gazillion things. I know my parents already started lol but i dont want to pack extra stuff just to move it again lol start whenever u want. And go crazy!

Whenever you want is a good time (: but lemme tell you as soon as you find out gender you're gonna really wanna shop! Lol
