The most important thing is try not to tense up in the early stages. You're going to need that energy for later! Keep us posted and good luck!

Yeaaa like they said eat before!! Id say that was one of the worst parts I didnt eat for over 24 hrs and I think thats why the epidural kept making me sick.My induction wasnt that bad until like the last 2 hrs prob bc I was under the impression that the epidural made u feel no pain at all lol

I was induced with my first, and i won't lie, the pain was horrific, i honestly thought i was going to die! But, if i was to be induced again with this one, I will definately be getting the epidural. I know i can't handle that pain. Hell, i'll probably be getting the epidural even if i go natural lol. Just be prepared for a more intense pain, i had no idea and i felt really unprepared too. Have a safe and healthy delivery!

Haha...that same poster advised you about the snacks too. I hadn't even read that part when I made my post!! It's so true. I was induced with both my pregnancies so on the second one that was the first thing I packed in my hospital bag!!!

Like one of the posters already said eat a light meal first. They won't let you eat during in case you end up needing a c section so it can be a long time before you are able to eat. Also pack some snacks in case you deliver in the middle of the night.

One thing that helped me was making low humming noises, it made my body vibrate and helped with the pain. It might sound wierd but when ur in that much pain who Cares. I wish u good luck and I hope everything goes well.  :-)

Congrats!!!! Just breathe deep and try to relax it will help with the pain to try not to get tense. Also eat a LIGHT small meal if your hungry before being induced because you may be in labor for quite a while and you will not be able to eat. You can also grab a few snacks for after baby is born just in case the cafeteria is closed our your not able to get to any food right away. Good luck!!!!
