I agree with spade...I missed the 'exploding' feeling in the ovary...very important to get this checked out ASAP!
ah,missed the 7 months bit, and the sore ovary bit.DEFINITELY seek urgent medical advice, i've had an ectopic and time is of the essence. Also, if you start bleeding, DO NOT ASSUME it's your period- it's a common symptom of an ectopic.
In very rare cases, women who have had there tubes tied can get pregnant and when this happens, they are at high risk for an ectopic pregnancy which can be life-threatening if left untreated.
Based on the fact you think you saw a line on a HPT, feel like you are pregnant, are late for your period which is usually on time, and have one-sided pain (that you ascribe to feeling like your ovary is going to "explode") it is essential that you seek urgent medical advise to find out if you are pregnant and if so, where the embryo has implanted.
If you have an after hours care center in your area, I highly suggest that you go in for a workup TODAY. This is NOT something that you should wait out.
HCG will not be in your system 7 months postpartum - HCG levels typically return to non-pregnant levels by 6 weeks after baby has been born.
Take care and please keep us posted.
I'd call the doctor who did the surgery...I've seen posts on here with women who had their tubes tied and ended up with an oops baby! Better get it checked...AND if you had your baby 7 months ago, I don't believe you'd have residual hcg this far after.
if it isn't long since you had your last baby, then maybe hcg is still in your system from that pregnancy, and periods can take a long time to return to normal. It's just 16 days late is a long time late and the line should've been dark and very clear.
