I'm glad you're doing ok. All of the research I've done (on-line today that is), says that some of the preliminary ladies who got Twinrix and had babies had healthy babies.
Did you know that there's some sort of registry for women who are pregnant and got Twinrix - it's for future stats.
Take care.
It's a vaccination for Hepatitis A and B.
Well congratulations!!! You're in the same boat as I was in about 21 weeks ago! As far as the ultrasounds and bloodwork can tell us, our baby is healthy.
Thanks for the update. We just found out we're pregnant today and I got the Twinrix exactly 2 weeks ago, so it was either right before, at or slight after conception.
The nurse told me that it's not a live vaccine so that is better than an active vaccine. And we are traveling in less than 4 weeks.
I wish us both healthy babies.
Good luck,
Tania
As far as what the nurses could tell me it is safe to get it and ttc.... I got the first 2 shots while ttc. I got the second shot literally 10 days before we conceived (so I guess in theory I was considered pregnant). As far as the doctors can tell us the baby is healthy and normal (I am only 25 weeks).
I was supposed to go for my 3rd shot - the booster one and wasn't sure if I could get it or not. They said to wait because we weren't traveling anywhere anytime soon, but then they phoned back and said that it is alright to have the booster while pregnant and if I wanted the shot I can get it. I refused it, but I will get it after the baby is born.
Hi,
