UK mummies please
Hi. I don't know if anyone can shed some light on this, but would be really helpful if you could.
Basically from 30th April I will be homeless, the council have told me they will put me and my newborn in a hotel room. With no kitchen facilities. How am I to feed myself and child? My problem apparently. I work, but on leave. I have no means of child care at the moment so can't go back to work yet. Are they allowed to do this? Even though it's not a safe, fully functional environment for my child? I don't care about me, but my son is my world. He is due may 12. Please help! Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah I understand what you mean about social services but they won't think your a bad mum if u was u wouldnt be trying your best to make sure you dont get put some where that isnt good for the welfare of your baby or ring them just say you would like some advice for a friend u dont have to give no name.. I really feel for you I really hope everything works out for you ill keep everything crossed for ya x

I've got midwife tomorrow, so will definitely mention it to her. And yeah I'm a single parent, social services freak me out, I don't want them to think I'm a bad parent :( I will ring for advice though. I need to do something, only got a few weeks left now. Thank you so much for replying :) X
No they can't its not right and like you said how are you going to feed ure baby without facilities. . Id also talk to ure midwife. Also another idea mayb social services might be able to help you in some way.. are you a single mum? social might be able to help you with money for a deposit definitely talk to citizens advice x
My household at the moment is over crowded. My parents feel so bad that this is happening, but there is just no space for me and baby. I think citizens advice is my only option right now. I'll give them a call tomorrow and explain. But I didn't think it were okay for them to put me somewhere like that with a baby. X
Why are they making you homless? They can't do that to you! I speak to ure midwife also maybe go citizen advice
