Boy or Girl???? vs Timing

OK this is a question to all the girls that know if they got preg before ovulation or at ovulation im trying to find the truth to this my partner and i have 2 lovely boys and are desperate for a little girl, i realise there is no foolproof way but there is alot of sciencetific proof behind this theory  if you have time please read this and tell me what you think, id like to hear from anyone who has used this and it worked or the opposite if you know for sure when you conceived id like to know what gender you had and on what day in relation to ovulation you conceived.
Basically they are saying that id intercourse takes place a few days before ovulation then the chances are high that you will get a girl as the male sperm do not live as long and will have died off waiting for the egg leaving only female sperm to fertalize the egg .Thanks girls. xx

FOR A GIRL!!!

* Be sure to avoid intercourse on the day of your peak CM (a method for detecting ovulation).

Why is this important?

    * Because many of the sperm will use up their short lives waiting for the egg to arrive, this should give the typically longer-lived X-sperm an advantage. Also, the cervical fluid in the vagina is less hospitable to sperm prior to ovulation, because it is scant, sticky, and more acidic. All of these conditions are unfavorable for both kinds of sperm, but since X-sperm are more resilient, the Y-sperm should perish first and make it more likely to conceive a girl.

Have intercourse often, right up until the "cutoff" of 2 to 4 days before ovulation.

    * After the last day of your period, have intercourse frequently, up until 2 to 4 days before you suspect you will ovulate.
    * Do not have intercourse again until 2 or 3 days after ovulation has occurred. Intercourse with a condom is okay after this point.


    * Frequent ejaculation naturally lowers sperm count, which would favor conceving a girl. .
    *  Use the face-to-face position, with the man on top.

    * Shallow penetration will cause the sperm to be deposited further from the cervix (the entrance to the uterus). The sperm then must traverse more of the vagina, where the X-sperm's staying power should win out.
    *  The woman should try not to have an orgasm during intercourse.

    * Female orgasm causes the cervical fluid to become even more plentiful and alkaline, and thus more hospitable to the sperm, which would favor the faster swimming Y-sperm.

Well as I can relate with the having 2 boys and wanting a girl thing, My boys are 14, and 8. I am currently 17 weeks with a baby GIRL!  We did have timed conception with a RE, and I'm gonna say we BD, the night b4 "O" and the day of "O". So we still got our girl, I really don't think it matters, It does all sound good in theory though. It is a luck of the draw. I think you have better odds gender swaying with your diet. With my 2nd daughter we BDed on the day of ovulation, maybe the day before. No clue with my first daughter.

I have heard deep penetration is what gets boys (told by a fertility specialist). I don't know why but ???.

Your information is correct. And it worked for us. We had sex every day after I finished my period until the day before ovulation and are pregnant with a girl.

That makes sense. I got preggo because of DTD the DAY of Ovulation.  and had a boy even tho the chinese calander said GIRL. lol

i got preggo on Sept. 17th of 06......i still had AF on Sept. 26th-30th, found out i was preggo on Oct. 14th.........so technically i should have been ovulating around the time i got preggo......i had a BOY!!!

With my ds, we had sex the day of ovulation and my dh accidently did his thing, and we have a little boy.  We were not trying at the time, but had been discussing it.  With my dd, we planned her but i honestly don't remember.  I think we were bding every other day.

In my case, it worked.  I thought I could not get pregnant cause it was too early....  we had sex without protection about 5 days before I thought I would ovulate and thought I would be safe.  Didn't have sex again till about 2 weeks after.  I wasn't safe and baby is apparently a girl.  Dating of the pregnancy would confirm that it must have been the earlier contact not the later that resulted in the pregnancy.

With my dd we dtd every other day and did not dtd 3 days leading up to ovulation.  This time we dtd the day before ovulation and the day of and got a boy!  So I personally agree with that theory!
