just in time for my 26th Birthday

I'm due January 14, 2011 and my birthday is the 22nd of January.  My baby's father thinks I'm selfish for wanting the baby to be born on my birthday. I had a c section 7 months ago so I have the option to have a repeat c sec. If I go with the c sec on my birthday am I being selfish?????

Thank you. It's just every year since we met we always order 2 large pizzas with chicken, green chile,  n hot wing sauce. With a 2 liter of cherry 7up ( my favorite) and 2 hello kitty cupcakes one with a candle for me (i dont like hello kitty lol) then at 9:00pm we go to scenic view and have a picnic on the bed of his truck after we watch the sun rise we go home. We have done that for the past 4 of my birthdays n he says having a baby that day will get in the way of that tradition.

Not at all, my husbands Bday is on the 14th, as well, I'm due the 19th, and hopinggg to get in that day too! ;) Make sure you join the pregnancy january 2013 babies forum!!!

I had a very traumatic experience with my first so they decided that attempting a vbac this soon has less risks than a c section. So there g pop bbs let me carry up to 2 weeks past my due date before they induce and if I choose it late in the day (if I'm lucky to go the 2 weeks passed my due date) I'll make it to my busy. And if I get close to passing my bday I planned on getting the section before the 22nd is obeen. Is alot of variables to account for but this is what I'm hoping for

If you are to have a section, would they even let you go that far past your due date? From what I've read they are more likely to have a section done at 38/39 wks. Speak to your doctor about it before you and your hubby discuss it any further, no sense argueing over something which cant happen! If your doc says it would be possible, then discuss it again.

Im due january 20th. I dont think its selfish to want your baby born on your birthday it happens naturally all the time. The only thing I would say is that if its really important to your husband the baby has its own day (maybe he likes to make birthdays special-for you too) then as a couple you should at least take the time to sit down anf listen to one amother s opinion

I don't think so. I'm having my baby close to my birthday too. Besides, the day will mainly be for the baby now and because you share it, will be even more special.
