Confused with my weeks

My last period was aug 28-2012. If i calculate from my Lmp its 15weeks 2days. My ultrasounds show 1-1 1/2 weeks behind everytime. Also sometimes 2weeks behind. My last ultrasound (5th of dec) showed me 13weeks 8days +/- that means either 13weeks 8days or 13weeks minus 8days where from my Lmp its 14weeks 1day so this time its just one week difference from my Lmp and ultrasound. Can anyone plz help me calculate my exact weeks.Thnx :)

Yes with my every scan they give a new edd. I asked my dr but she told not to worry as in ultrasound they drag the mouse to measure the baby so everytine u get a new edd. :)

At your dating scan you should have been giving an edd ( estimated date of delivery ) so i would go by that unless they are changing your due date with every scan you have. All along iv measured exactly what my weeks are from lmp but on tues at my check up i measured 29w when i was only 28+2 but baby mite have just had a growth spurt and my dates havnt changed. Ask your doc if your worried

Estimated due date and therefore number of weeks/days pregnant you are are far from exact anyway with anything from 37 weeks to 42 weeks being considered term. Additionally ultrasound will vary a little from one to the next as they are based on average growth and development and babies do have a bit of variation in their actual growth rate. A weeks variation between ultrasound is not unusual. If I were you I'd base a date on the mid-point of the dates given by ultrasound and ignore your lmp, especially if as you said you have irregular periods. I also have irregular periods and if I dated my pregnancy by lmp I'd be 27 weeks now but actually only 24.

Same were mine. Irregular periods. But in ultrasound sonetimes there is a difference of 2 weeks sometimes 1-1/2 and domeyimes 1week. It always differs with every ultrasound. What should i tell if anyone asks my weeks? As i only dnt know. I should tell them my weeks from Lmp or a rough week as per my last ultrasound. I see here everyone tells they are so and so week with so anddo days but i cant say my exact week and day :(

according to my lmp which was july 21st i would be measuring 20 weeks and 5 days...but i was the same way when i had my first u/s at 6 weeks and 4 days i should of been 7 weeks 4 days...i think its caused weve ovulated later i dont have regular periods....

The earliest ultrasounds are the most accurate for determining dates. ou ould have ovulated early or late is what they are thelling you. Ask your doctor which to go with at your next appt.
