diabetic birth question

I am an insulin dependant diabetic and I'm 16 weeks now. I'm nervous about the birth and wondering if there are any diabetics out there that can give me some insight on what to expect or do to prepare myself for my delivery? This is my first so please help experienced mommas!  :)

I was diagnosed three months before i was pregnant.  I'm currently 31weeks and everything is fine :) it's my first so i haven't experienced delivery yet but honestly i thought my pregnancy was going to be hell because i am diabetic but it turned out to be the opposite.. :) just take care of yourself and you'll have a pregnancy like any other

My best friend is insulin dependent and had her first baby who is almost 4 now and is 30 weeks pregnant with her son, I was with her almost everday of that pregnancy, she had a scheduled
c-section and everything went really smooth for her, she wasn't able to breast feed her first time but this time around she said she wants to at least try so before they give her all the drugs she's going to try and pump
