Very worried

I had my ultrasound last Friday and the baby seemed fine and the heartbeat was strong and since then I have gradually started feeling less and less pregnant. My bb's hve stopped hurting, I have more energy, I'm not as hungry, etc.... Everybody says that I should feel lucky, but I feel like there is something wrong, I have had no cramps or bleeding...I'm just really scared. Please let me know if any of you have had this happen, I really need something to keep me positive. I won't have my next appt until Feb. 8th. and my doctor told me to only get worried if I get such bad cramps that I can't stand or if I'm bleeding. Yeah right!

Don't worry, Shell! Symptoms can fluctuate as hormones change. Lack of sleep or worry will not affect baby. But high levels of stress can put baby under stress. Try to relax! Ways to relax: take a bath, deep breathing, getting more sleep, drinking a LOT of water (yes, water can help), finding an outlet for your energy and worry (crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, etc.), make lists of everything that is worrying you, and JOURNALING. I'm a writer so journaling is probably my fave on the list!

Writing is therapeutic and helps you to put your thoughts in front of your face on something concrete and visible and tangible. It helps you organize them better, helps you to get an ACTION plan, thus less stress.

Its probably fine. I have 2 babies and with my 3rd now. You will start to feel better. You will notice that you only feel pregnant sometimes or even somedays. As long as you dont completely feel "normal" again, or having serious pain or bleeding then dont worry to much. Like right now I am 8 weeks somedays I feel good almost nomal. Then the next day I will have 0 energy and be sick to my stomach or maybe just peeing alot . It kinda varies from day to day. I am still nervous and I had a miscarriage in 2003 and 2 babies since. I know its hard but try not to worry to much. Good luck to you hun and keep us posted I am sure you and your baby are going to be ok...

Thanks, I need constant reasurrance : ) or else I feel crazy....I was just worried because I've been under so much stress lately and working so much that I haven't been able to rest or sleep a full 8 hours in the past 3 weeks....I get scared that it's really going to affect the baby.

Your hormone's a leveling out and that's why your having a decrease in symptoms... You and your baby are fine! As long as your seeing a hb, feeling movement ( if your that far along) and your not bleeding or cramping, your fine..... Don't worry hon.. It'll all be ok! :-)
