Vicodan in pregnancy

My dr prescribed vicodan during my pregnancy for kidney stones is it safe to just stop taking it

I was prescribed this med when I was 37 weeks pregnant, because I had a very painful surgery.  I took it until I felt I didn't need it anymore.  If there were any special precautions you are to take, your doc would probably have told you that, but like the above posters said, if you are in any doubt, I would just speak with your doctor about your concerns.

It depends on how long your have taken it and how much.  Unless you were on heavy doses it shouldn't be a problem to stop taking it.

The dr didnt seem that concerned i deliver in a week and a half but i feel concerned now i want to stop taking it but didnt know which was worse

Sometimes medications are given when the benefits outweigh the risks. Having a UTI or kidney stones or similar conditions could cause preterm labor or other complications. If you're still in doubt you can call your pharmacist AND doctor with your concerns.
