I work at a dental office and we've given vicoden to pregnant patients. It's definitely ok to take. But if you're absolutely worried then don't take anything if you can stand it. You don't have to take the vicoden. It's only there if you feel the pain is unbearable. Tylenol usually doesn't help the pain and that's why they give you vicoden. Try keeping your head elevated, doing warm salt water rinses, and using a ice pack on your cheek. Sometimes biting on a moist tea bag where the tooth was pulled can help sooth the pain too. Hope this helps :-)
I took vicodine when I got teeths pull its safe dear my doctor fax over my paper work for them to pully teeth your doctor knows what he or she talking about seriously they prescribe me vicodine and when I ran out my obgyn doctor prescribed me some to
There is risk of your baby being addicted when theyre born. I got 2 teeth pulled for the same reasons and got vicodine but only took it when i needed it. Addiction is only a possibility if you take them often and for a long period of time.
right! I can't even believe it's ok to take vicodin or even Tylenol...I'm a little bit of a pregnancy hypochondriac haha
I have hydroccodone for migranes and havent used it this whole pregnancy, the thought of it freaks me out bc they arent exactly safe, so definitely try to toughen it out
Definitely do tylenol and ice packs first, only use the hardcore meds of you absolutely cannot stand the pain
that's what I was thinking even Tylenol makes me nervous I might actually just try to tough it out..i was curious to see if anyone else got vicodin while pregnant and what they did...Thank you
I would try tylenol first. But vicodin is safe to take during pregnancy. Some obgyns actually give it to patients in a lot of pain.
Maybe just try Tylenol first. That would be much safer.
