With my first 2 I wanted drugs but they said it was to late so I ended up having them naturally. They always said "you don't seem too bad, lets just wait a bit & see how it goes..." Then it was too late. I told my doctor I'm not waiting this time & I want meds right when I get there, no more of this lets just wait & see what happens crap lol!
I had.just watched a video about labor and was freaking out lol. I know that my body wasmade to have babies (God didnt give me these hips for nothing!) Its all just scary. Im sure I will be just fine...but if I get there in time, I will be getting meds. Props to you ladies that didnt!!
C sections should never be a first choice. Try having a new baby while trying to heal from a major surgery. I never want a c section.
Labour is not a surgery so that's y you consider doing it without meds. Having someone cut you open or yank out a tooth isn't natural but labour is.
I had a c-section, also didn't find it to be bad at all.. there is a risk of infection, but you have equal risks vaginally and c-section. Where I live, and at my OB office you can opt for a c-section, but it is a very serious pain after..I recovered within a week and a half, so not much longer than a vaginal birth, but I have a very high pain tolerance..if you're worried about pain, I'd go natural because a c-section is more painful than vaginal.
You can't even compare labor to tattoos or piercings... that's like comparing apples & oranges. This is my third baby, I have tattoos & piercings, the pain of labor is absolutely 100% a totally different kind of pain. And a c-section is not something you should want, the risk of infection is high, plus it takes twice as long to recover from. If its not for high risk, doctors aren't supposed to give c-sections, most do because they get more money for a surgery then they do for a birth.
It is very different for me because an operation is not something your body was made to do and has done for thousands of years. I didn't try to not have meds the first time but it worked out that way and I'm happier it did. I also didn't want my baby coming out all drugged up or being paralysed in bed for a few hours after. Honestly 10 minutes after it was done I didn't even think about any of it all I cared about was my baby
Well done for not having pain meds but i gebuinly cant see how you can not have any. i'm not going in saying i want meds but will be open minded. my mil keeos saying how natural it is and it should be done meds free but you wouldnt dream of having an operation or tooth out etc without meds so why is this any different.
Im the same, i keep crying saying i cant do it and noamount of reassurance will work. i have no tattoos or broke bones etc so i havent experienced aby kind of pain before
I have given birth with NO pain meds and also have 15+ piercings and 15+ tats. Yes labor is hard and it hurts but your body was designed for it. If you tell yourself you can do it and learn breathing and relaxation techniques it helps. It is so worth it! Why would you choose major abdominal surgery and then have a baby to take care of intentionally? And I swear on my life nothing hurt worse that the tat on top of my foot!! I remember saying it hurt worse than childbirth.
If im conscious! Lol I have 8 tats in pretty painful spots (all the way down my spine, ribs, hips) and barely flinched, but this...it just sounds like too much to handle!
Im 35 weeks today.and im really freaking out about the pain of labor 2.i have a few tattoos and piercings but i heard thats nothing compared to labor.im terrible with pain and i hate needles so im also thinking if i can handle this or not.but i have no choice i have 2 deal with it and go through this
Lol i passed out 7 times when i had my nose pierced. And hate the site of my own blood but honestly ull be able to do it. Womens bodies are designed to give birth and afterwards ull have that gorgeous little one to make u forget!!
