Okay, so I am currently 15 weeks and 1 day and due May 25th. At my first appt, I was told I have an ovarian cyst, which can be normal during pregnancy and was told by my doctor that it is more than likely serving as a support of hormones until the placenta starts to take over. I had been to this doctor before for a pap smear about 5 months prior to my first appt and I did not have the cyst, so more than likely it was a cause of my pregnancy. My sonogram showed that my cyst was about 4 inches long. But anyways, I had another appt about a month after my first one and the cyst is still there and now my doctor is concerned that it may actually be a benign tumor. I'm really not that concerned about it because it's just benign and can be taken care of if that's what it actually is. But I am actually hoping it's just a cyst that will just maybe fade within the next 18 days so that I don't have to any procedure to remove whatever it is. Has anybody else had an experience with this and what had to be done for it to be removed, cyst of tumor. Also, my sonogram is set up to look at my cyst and the doctor said that that is about the time that we are able to tell the sex of the baby, too. But I was told by my husband's cousin's wife, who is in school for sonography that if the ultrasound tech has specific instructions to just look at my cyst, that they are not allowed to look at the baby because of separate charges, which is something I am prepared to pay for. But I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else and if it mattered to you if you had to pay two separate charges.
