I agree with the post above. I totally over packed with my son. All you really need is an outfit for you, brush, toothbrush, shower supplies, outfit for the baby and a blanket. U don't need pads, diapers, wipies or even formula. The hospital provides all that. Oh yea and your charger.
On my second baby, so I don't plan on packing nearly as much this time around. The hospital supplied all diapers and wipes, and shirts for baby to wear. I think it was helpful to just have baby on the shirt, diaper, and blanket. Made diaper changing easier, but if you prefer having them on clothes or pajamas, pack enough for a few days. I may bring my own receiving blankets this time, as they seem softer and more cozy. Definitely a coming home outfit for baby, and something super comfortable for myself to go home in, possibly pajama bottoms or sweat pants. I would recommend travel size shampoo and conditioner and whatever else you prefer to have in the shower. Brush or a comb, and hair ties. Tooth brush and tooth past is nice to have too. Labor could take awhile, so something to entertain yourself and keep your mind off the wait. I liked having my own pillow, helped me stay more comfortable.
