What are the signs?

I was reading another post about the possibility of the cord being around the baby's neck.  For some reason, this has been on my mind a lot lately.  Are there any signs that you should be on the look at for that something might be wrong?

I dont know why I worry about this so much with this preg.  I never even thought about it with my son.  I just have this constant feeling like something is not right.  Am I crazy?

there can be no signs! i had a good pregnancy. my sons heartreate was great! the monday before i had him, i had a doctors apointment. they did a stress test and during lilttle contractions his heartrate was still great. weds night i went into labor his heart was good, after my epidural, his heartrate would lower very very slightly with the contractions. after they tried to increase the med.. his heartrate DROPPED. i had a emergency c section maybe 15 mins later. his cord was wrapped around his neck.

so there arnt always signs. maybe at the last min but even a few days before there were no signs

Thanks!  I am just getting at this stage where everything worries me.  If I don't feel the baby move for a few hours I start to get worried. Maybe my mind will be a little more at ease now that I going every 2 weeks now.

Yes, a heartbeat that is lowering, lack of fetal movement, etc.

Not sure, but it's not something to worry about. Just keep track of your baby's movements. Babies come out with cords wrapped around their necks all the time, usually not tight enough to cause any harm.

I think ( and dont quote me im not a doctor) that an irregular heartbeat is a sign.. other than that Im not sure... I hope this helps you. AFter you get so far your appointments get weekly and bi weekly so if it does happen theres a good chance it will be caught :o)
