help?

Hey ladies, I found out a month ago that I'm pregnant. I am a little over 11 weeks right now. Im very young to have a baby, I'm only 19 and I can't help but feel sad about it...I feel bad that I'm not happy or excited but i feel like this is gonna make my life so much harder, and I won't be able to have fun anymore. I was just wondering if any of you felt like this with your first pregnancy? Or if I'm a horrible person for not being happy about it? Lol

Thank you! I'm thinking it will get easier for me to accept as my pregnancy progresses. But yes, we were definately using protection and it still happened lol and I've asked my boyfriend what he thinks about adoption and he said he would never let someone else raise his kid. So looks like were having a baby lol

In all honesty, I feel the same way at times. I'm 24 and a ftm. I got pregnant USING PROTECTION and I never really planned on having children. It does cross my mind that things will get harder but hey, life isn't meant to be easy. I've helped raise a bunch of kids and though it is hard, the fun times are always there to balance out the rough days. Now i won't be helping, ill be raising my own . Days will get better sweety

It's normal to feel like that! Believe me I had my first at 17 I was in high school and I got pregnant USING a condom and was on birth control for 2 months AND  it was the first time I slept with him! I was like OMG my life is over as I know it. I was so terrified. You can be so careful and still get pregnant. Don't let anyone put you down. You are young to have a baby. But if you choose to patent your baby you will grow with your child every day. My oldest is 6 and I feel like I've grown up right along side her. :)

Honestly I'm glad you are thinking rationally because that is going to happen, having a baby is a huge responsibility and you aren't going to have the freedom that you would if you didn't have a baby, but having a baby is a very beautiful thing, honestly I don't think your ready, you are going to change so much because your transitioning into the adult world and I'm so glad your not naive about this, most girls just think about the fun cute aspects and dont consider the reality, maybe consider adoption. You do have time to make the right decision for your future and you will know what that is soon. Just consider your options make a list and do what's right for you and your baby :) good luck

I was pregnant at 15 and had my son two weeks after i turned 16 i felt the same way. I remember feeling selfish that i was concerned that i wouldnt get to go out and worried i wouldnt be able to provide. But there is so many supports out there. I now live with the love of my life and we our now having a little girl. My sons four and once he was born my thoughts changed so much. You learn a new kind of fun and enjoyment. When you go to the park or play silly games just seeing them smile is a feeling you will never experience any other time. I still get to go out maybe once a month and not going out every night makes that one night so much better ! I think hormones are getting to you. I promise you its worth it!

Hey im Srry u feel this way and im sure as u get further into your pregnancy u will get more excited.Things happen for a reason and im sure even though u are 19 u will be a great mom. Maybe u are just nervous and need time to get used to the idea of having a baby. To be honest im 28 wks with my third and got pregnant on birth control so I wasn't too happy at first but once I got over the shock of another child I was happy and I can't wait to meet my little girl.

I think it's just your hormones. You are not a horrible person. Although I can not relate I advise you just to give it time. I do understand that being 19 will make it harder for you but you will learn to take new challenges and work towards being a better person and mother just for that little being that is growing inside of you. Trust me you will find better or new ways of having fun that will involve your little one. With that said enjoy your pregnancy because it goes by so quick.

No i wasnt like this with my first and you arent that young their are people who have kids younger. but not to sound mean if you were worried about having fun how come you didnt use protection? children always bring plenty of joy so you may not be having fun the way you wanted but you will enjoy it
