My experience was very similar with mommytobe's. I started labor naturally but at 6cm I stopped progressing so they popped my water, did the epidural, and gave me pitocin which made it way more painful. Within an hour of them hooking me up with pitocin my daughter was born, only 14 minutes of pushing and a minor internal tear that needed a few stitches.
My recommendation, try to have your water popped first +if youre dilated a bit already) and give it a little bit before getting the pitocin. Contractions are painfully but not as bad as pitocin induced ones. Also, take this time to put everything together, go over with your partner what's going to happen, what time you need to be there, ect. & good luck!
My first I went into labor naturally and I HATED the contractions the pain was so bad!! My second one I got induced and didn't feel no pain only pressure ! I loved it ! I was was in labor for 6 hours and pushed three times and he was out in no time! But every one is different. My mother in law had a horrible experience with induction
My birth started off natural but stopped progressing after 6cm so I was put on pitocin I had already gotten the epidural but the pitocin did make contractions more intense I only pushed 27 min and had a precious healthy baby boy
Mine was great was in labor about 10 hours contractions did get intense so i got the epidural and was pain free and happy when it came to pushing lol i didnt think i could because i couldnt move my legs lmao but i did push and she came out in 4 pushes healthy and happy took a little while for the epidural to wear off but was fully able to do everything with my daughter just could not stand for a little while. Fast and easy good luck
