back pain - whose having it & what helps

Hey ladies, I am currently pregnant with twins (27wks) and I am having incredible back pain. Not lower like preterm labor or anything, way up high in my rib cage and just under my shoulder blades at times. I realize this is probably due to pregnancy, posture and carrying twins but I was just wondering if anyone had any good cures for it. Tylenol has helped but I don't want to be taking a lot of it.
Alot of times my back just feels tight and other times its actually muscle soreness, also please if I am missing something that could be serious feel free to clue me in as well. I am pretty sure I had this with my first pregnancy but not until the bitter end. Thanks ladies

I had such bad back pain the Dr had to put me off work (I live in Canada so am on sick benefits until i start maternity leave at 35 weeks for a year)
Luckily it took care of most of the pain for now. I think because at work i sat on a stool and leaned forward it was making things really bad

That's good, you'll love it!!!  I swear!

I really hope you find it, I know they have a ton of lotions like that for different things, but it's a life saver!

Alright, so at WalMart in the isle that has bubble bath, and pretty much all that aeromatherapy stuff, there is this lotion!  I use it and it works wonders!  It's like icy hot but not icy hot, it relaxes your mucles, and makes you feel better within 5 mins!  The brand is Village Naturals!

Has a black pump on the top, the bottle is clear but lotion is green, so it'll seem light greenish!  It says on it muscle relaxer and the label is in two different languages!  It works miracles!  It's about $5 to $7

The best thing to do with it, is have dh/bf/df rub it all over your back and take special attention directly to the spinal area.  And I'd put it on kind of thick!  The thicker it is, the better it works.  It's a peppermint smell, I believe, and it'll heat and then cool!  And you'll literally feel the tension and pain in your back just melt away!  I live with chronis back pain from herniated discs so believe me, it works better then any pain medicine could!  And my ob/gyn said it was perfectly fine to use while pregnant!  It doesn't absorb into the skin or anything!

i feel your pain!!!! i just had my twins and i had this HORRIBLE agonizing back pain from 9 wks on....the only thing that relieved it for me was having either icy hot rubbed on my back from my neck to my tail bone or a heating pad and laying on my left side. what caused my back  pain though was that eli was laying on my spine.
