When should I get my 2 year old in a toddler bed?

I'm only 6 weeks pregnant and very sick. My son will be 3 just after I have baby and I'm thinking second trimester I should get him settled in a bed so I'm not too big and he's used to it.  Any advice?xx

My daughter became independent @ 1yr. Lol on her first birthday,  she had her first cup of milk & her own big girl bed!

My son always slept with me and my husband. He had a room but since birth I always wanted him near. At two I brought a toddler bed and put it in our room on the side of our bed. I told him its like sleeping with mommy and daddy but in his own bed. I brought a cars bed so he was familiar with the characters on it. I slowly moved it further away from my bed till I moved it out of the room into his room so by then end if 4 months he was sleeping in his room. Every now and then I let him sleep in my bed but he knows his room is where he's supposed to be.
