I've never used OPK's but from what I've read, OPK's pick up the LH surge that signals the ovaries to release the egg and this typically happens within 24hrs. So, you should get a positive OPK the day before you ovulate. BBT will spike after ovulation has occurred. So, you can't use BBT to predict ovulation, but it will tell you if you have already O'd.
