Hip pain has nothing to do with the gender but with your own body. Generally your hips may hurt more since you've already been pregnant before and your pelvis may be out of alignment. You could see a chiropractor about it or bring it up with your doctor at your next appointment. I had horrible hip pain in one of my pregnancies (I've had all girls).
i agree with joy.. i have had horrible hip pain all pregnancy long and im having a girl... and dont wanna burst your bubble but my doctor said take tylenol, warm baths, and heating pad for short periods of time should help... nothing did... i still have it at 35 weeks along.. it is frustrating specially doing what i do for a living cause i have to be on the floor playing with babies all day long and getting up and down every 5 minutes... so it really didnt make it any better... i would suggest keeping off it as much as you can....
i know this question is for ladies who have had sons, but when i was carrying my daughter i had severe hip pain.
I had it with my 1st (girl) and have it now (boy) so I dont think gender has anything to do with it. I find bathing helps, it seems to take the pressure off for a bit
yes i had it, it was awful, it was diagnosed as spd. And i was pregnant with a boy.
He's my only child, so cant comment on it being just male related.
Drs were useless and did not help, but they are meant to prescribe a support band to help keep the pubic bones in place, so you can ask for that.
I had it bad when I was pg with my son in 2001. But I had it even worse in 2006 and that was a girl. My last pg (delivered in December) I had it but not nearly as bad as the previous two (also a girl). This time I didn't go to physical therapy for it like I had to with the last two. With my 2nd child (DD) I even went to the chiropractor to get aligned b/c my hips were so painful (but they do get out of alignment very quickly, unfortuately, due to the hormones prepping your body for labor). I would talk to your Ob and maybe get a referral to a chiropractor (at least for me the phys. therapy didn't do much, but the chiro helped some).
I did not have any hoops in with my boys but am pregnant now ( 9) weeks and have hip pain. I miscarried at 14 weeks with my last baby (boy) and did not have hip pain with him either. I'm hoping for a girl this time.
