The main thing is, have a way to keep the toddler from wandering around and getting in everyone's way, and be sure to take the child after she has had her nap and lunch, so she won't be acting up or crying. Doctor's offices don't employ nurses to be babysitters, and they will resent you showing up with a child if someone has to stop doing medical things or reception things, and come in and try to take care of your baby. I did take my child to appointments when he was young enough to lie on a blanket in the corner, but stopped when he was big enough to walk around. It's fine to bring them at any age if you have another person with you who can take the child out of the room if she begins to wiggle or wail, but don't expect a sitter to be provided at the doc's.
My 2 yo went to all of mine! Just stayed in her stroller and colored, could have cared less.
I've taken both my kids to my ob appointments, my oldest is 2 my youngest is 8mo old & they sit in the chair with daddy while I get whatever done. No problem, they don't even pay attention & can't see anything
My 18 month old just stares at he screen he whole time and giggles.
Yeah I'm hoping the screen gets get distracted.
I am taking my daughter because if I couldnt I wouldnt be able to go to anything appointment wise.
I took my 3 yr old daughter an they did one an she stared the entire time with a funny face (not between my legs lol) but she also knows that doctors check you but that was the first an last time
She'll be sixteen months when the ultrasound comes around.
What is the age of your girl? My RE told me that when a child is super little, such as you can sit them in their seat and they just play, it works OK, but when the kid gets bigger, he or she gets bored and antsy. The image on the screen means almost nothing to them.
