breastfeeding

So I've been doing research on breastfeeding because I'm pregnant with my first baby and this is an option for me. I also heard that it helps lose the baby weight but I'm not sure if that's true. Anybody else heard of that?

all of the above plus the bonding is a wonderful experience! I miss it so much! I'd still be nursing my sixteen month old if I weren't expecting twins.

I breastfed with my second and went down 20 lbs by like day 4 post partum and by time he was about 6 months was the tiniest I had been in years even on the depo shot. Yes of course you can't eat whatever you want. Just eat healthy and with bursing you will burn the baby weight away quickly.

I breastfed my first born and plan on to with my second.  Yes it's the best nutrient you can give your baby.  It also prevents sids , and illness in baby.  My daughter is 3, and it's very rare ive taken her to drs for being sick. Does help you loose weight,  but also drains u.so stay hydrated and eat healthy!  Its cheaper than formula, but can b time consuming,  but think of the benefits!  It's not easy at first,  it hurts and can be challenge,bc baby doesn't always latch   but don't give up they have help or nipple shield for that

They say it burns an extra 600 calories and helps your uterus contract and shrink down quicker. I have heard though that you are hungrier breast feeding because the demand it puts on your body. I am also a ftm though, so I don't have any experience with it. I am excited to breast feed though, formula feeding never even crossed my mind haha. Not to mention you can save roughly $4,000 in a year by breast feeding opposed to formula feeding!

Yes, it helps burn calories faster. But that's honestly the least good thing it does haha. Breast feeding is a great choice. It gives the baby nutrients and antibodies that formula doesn't. It's easier to digest for them. Prevents diarrhea. Reduces your risk of breast cancer. Not to mention it's way cheaper and more convenient lol. Think about it! It's very good for you and baby :)
