Yeast Infection

On Friday, February 6th I was 40 wks and  4 days and I noticed that I had a  yeast infection, i tried to call my doctor and ask her what i should do, seeing as most creams work in a week and I'm scheduled to be induced in 6 days(on Friday). She never responded however so i bought some monistat and started the treatment that night. It is now Monday, February 9th and I just took my 4th nightly treatment and i feel better no more signs of yeast, should i keep going??? Or should i let the antifungal cream work it's ways out of my vaginal canal. I am scheduled to be induced in 3 days now.
Sorry it's so long!
Please help!

Of course ask your doctor hut my personal opinion would be to complete the recommended treatment. Just because you don't have signs or symptoms doesn't mean infection isn't still lingering..could flare back up when you stop the medication if it's not completely gone.

I went to my doctor and she told me monistat was on the safe list and that I did indeed have a yeast infection! As long as you know forsure you had a yeast infection you should be fine (:

I was told by my doctor not to use ministat because there is another infection really common in pregnancy that could lead to worse problems of not properly treated. But I know a lot of women who have used ministat while pregnant and if you feel the infection is gone then go ahead and stop. There's no reason to keep treating something that isn't there anymore.

How many treatments did you take before you stopped?

I stopped taking mine and haven't had any problems! But since you're being induced soon, if possible, finish it off so you can at least say you finished the treatment!
