am I selfish?
Ftm here. Theres a chance I might have to have a c section and if I do and im put under I dont want anyone at all besides my SO to see or hold my baby till I am awake and able to feed her. I know im going to here it from my SO mother and sister. But I dont even want my mom seeing her till I can. Am I wrong ?? Or would you be the same?

nope. but since you metioned it if i have the same happen im gonna do the same thing. im gonna tell my doctors nurses and everything. this is a great idea and so understandable. your not selfish at all.
Wow u can do tthis. I might be having a c section as well. I was thinking the same think I don't want nobody holding my baby first beside me lol. But I wasn't really sure if I could do that. Of course your not selfish you just want to be the first one to hold your baby it's fair after all we did suffer a bit lol. Who cares what any one thinks.im.pretty sure my in laws are going to start talking lol.

No your not wrong. When i had my emergency c-section. They didnt wake me right away and eveyone got to see and hold my son before i did. Also if you dont want to have a pacifier for your baby. Make sure the hospital knows!

My husbands mom was the same way with my first. She was so mad I didn't want her in the room and because she wasn't the first to see my daughter. After the way she acted last time it really ain't happening this time and me and my husband aren't even gonna tell her I had the baby until we're ready to deal with her.

I would btw the same way. After carrying this baby for so long and it being my first I want hubby and I to be the first ones to see and hold her. Only hubby will be with me in the delivery room, havent told my mom yet but it will not go down easy
At my hospital only 1 person is aloud in the room when it happens anyways and you can ask to not have the baby be seen by anyone while in the recovery room until you get the chance to bond. I don't think it's selfish you're the mom you need to be seen felt and heard first.
No I dont think ur wrong, its ur baby and you and your partner should be the first to see her and hold her I would be the exact same if I was I the situation x
