yeah, gotta agree there tarajanes about the dr. there are many causes of abnormal bleeding, pregnancy just being one of them. i was threatening a threatened miscarriage from 9 to 18 weeks, am all healed since then. only had 1 slight bleed since which may be due to cervix exams or some other unknown cause.
If you were pregnant and bleeding, then it could be an indication of threatened miscarriage.but since your tests are negative after missing your period, then pregnancy is unlikely.there are many reasons for abnormal bleeding.your doctor was wrong to tell you its a sign of pregnancy.if your late then maybe its your period.
oh and i've had plenty of bleeding and baby's still fine at 29 1/2 weeks
implantation bleeding has nothin to do with when your period's due. it occurs around 7-14 days after sex. it is a very light bleed. there are many other causes for bleeding in pregnancy ( at any stage of it ) examples are bleeds in or around the amniotic sac, miscarriage and placental abruption. some women also bleed around the time their period would have been due.
ok well how can being pregnant cause abnormal bleeding?
I have to agree with spade22 You can NOT have a period while pregnant. You may have bleeding but it wouldn't be a period.
well i know its not implantation bleeding because that would happen before a period but mine was missed.i took a test already but was negative.i talk to my doc about whats going on and was told that abnormal bleeding or period is a sign of pregnancy and to wait another week to test again. Was just curious to know how being pregnant would cause any kind of bleeding or a period.
You can NOT get your period while pregnant unless you have a bicornuate or double uterus. Some women do bleed while pregnant and mistake that for a period - a typical type of bleeding is implantation bleeding. Only 25% of women experience some form of bleeding while pregnant and only 50% of those go on to have a successful pregnancy. If you have reason to suspect you are pregnant, take a home pregnancy test - if negative, repeat in a week and go from there.
