increase in fetal movemement

I have been sitting here counting my little man's kicks and movements for the last 45 minutes and it is well over 50. Does this mean anything? It literally feels like he is dancing or freaking out on the inside. My fiance is amazed! It is closer to 100 now.. What's going on?

I'm 29 weeks 5 days and my doc and midwife said if its less then 10 movement to go in but if its increase not to worry but where I live they wouldn't care if you rang them warred about anything they would tell you to get on with it so not all people get the care and support they need while pregnant :-(.. It's better to be safe and go get checked out better to put your mind at rest then to stress and worry about baby xxxx

I agree with both posters, my OB (both of them, actually, two different offices) told me an increase can be just as bad as a decrease in movement. I would just say you drank castor oil (even if that's not what's causing the increase in movement, it might get them a little more serious about your concern) and maybe they'll bring you in to check things out.

I read your earlier post that you had tried castor oil I don't know if it could have anything to do with your baby's movements but might be worth mentioning to l&d it may be causing him distress...like I said I don't know if there xoukd be any connection but maybe better safe then sorry

I'm just a first time mommy but my nurses told me just yesterday that I need to come in anytime my little ones movements decrease or increase drastically cause it could mean my baby is in distress! Arnt you past your due date? If I were your I'd go get checked out or least call doctor/midwife!
