alcohol? ???

Im not the type that does drinking but I've been craving a bloody mary so bad! Can it do harm to my baby if I only have 1? Im 11 weeks... thanks!

They say it is unknown how much or how little can effect a fetus. So why risk it. Good Lord. Just don't do it. Why would you risk it.

I have fas! Don't drink while pregnant. It's a miserable thing to live with for child and family. Trust me. I wish my mom didn't do it. She ended up losing two children to the state. Idk her I don't remember her and I can't contact her. Trust me.... don't take that risk

Kareen,. That isn't true as every Dr is different. Since we don't know how much alcohol it takes to negatively affect a foetus my midwife has a zero alcohol policy, as does the hospital where I will deliver. It's better to not take the chance. And doesn't a bloody Mary have vodka in? I'm pretty sure there is no Dr who would recommend drinking spirits at any point during pregnancy

if you ask to your doctor he will tell you just to drink a little nothing wont happen to your baby but after your first trimester, my mom had that craving too and she drank and nothing happened to my brother. but is better to ask to your doctor first :)

Watch the youtuve series "students like me". Once you see the damage caused by alcohol during pregnancy youll never drink when pregnant  theres no way to know if your baby could be one of the ones affected. For some babies a mother could have sips and the sips ruin the childs life forever. Some mothers babies (by the grace of god) are never affected by drinking. Its a gamble you take and your child could suffer for. Take it from someone with a FAS sister. Its awful not only for the child but for the family too.

Especially in the first trimester it is extra dangerous. Just don't do it. You will feel so guilty afterwards

And to answer your other question yes it can do harm to your baby. Any amount of alcohol can.

Do a virgin bloody Mary. That's the good thing about bloody Marys you can barely taste the alcohol in them anyway. You could try buying the spicy v8 vegetable juice put a splash of Tabasco and some green olives. Not the same bit very similar.

Is there anyway to satisfy your craving without the alcohol in it? If so, just do that. I wouldn't recommend alcohol though.

Drink a virgin one. Maybe that will ease your craving.
